Shireena is a Marriage and Family Therapist, licensed to provide psychotherapy in the state of California.  In her extensive mental health career, she has provided treatment in various modalities- individual, groups, family and couples therapy, in residential, outpatient, school-based, college based, community and private practice settings.  She has experience with treating mood disorders, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum and other developmental disorders, as well as severe mental illness.  She has worked with and supported children, adolescents, transitional age youth and adults in managing obstacles to optimum mental health.

In providing services, she is curious about and sensitive to family and cultural constructs of each individual’s unique needs. She considers Healthy Relationships- with others around you, with your environment and the world, and above all, with yourself, as the key to adapting to and managing all what life has to offer.

Loving Hearts for Moms is hopefully a place where you can feel validated, safe, cared for, and understood in community with other Moms and caregivers. Bearing witness to each other’s struggles and triumphs matters. It is the most meaningful thing we can do for each other!

“Being involved in a hands-on way with LHFA is very near and dear to my heart. I believe in the mission and vision of LHFA and knowing Mona for most of my life, I am humbled and stand by her efforts wholeheartedly”
