On November 13, 2020, Loving Hearts for All spoke for the Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities. This committee is an advisory body to the city council and city manager regarding problems affecting persons with disabilities in the Austin area. It was established to encourage, assist and enable persons with disabilities to participate in the social and economic life of the City, achieve maximum personal independence, become gainfully employed, and use and enjoy fully and use all public and private facilities available within the community.
The LHFA presentation was received well and the Committee was excited to hear about the initiative and it would like to hear from LHFA again in the next meeting. LHFA is eager to collaborate with them to find jobs and the internships for those in the LHFA community.
